I stopped running at the age of 35 because of pain in my knees and hips. Six months ago at the age of 54, I read ChiRunning and change the mechanics of my stride. This past weekend, I completed in my first marathon in 3 hours and 46 minutes. Two days after the marathon, I ran 8 miles at an average pace of 8:04 and felt great. During my 18 weeks of training for the marathon I did not have a single injury. Through body sensing I was able to make the small adjustments needed to run pain and injury free.
