Feel better. Get fit. Our mission is to help you develop the skills you need for safe and healthy walking practice. Beginning with technique, you’ll feel stable, and use your body in the way it was designed to move.
Good posture is the cornerstone to walking with ease. ChiWalking teaches you how to physically maintain great structural alignment which allows your muscles to relax and allows your chi energy to flow freely throughout your body. When your muscles relax, you tap into the natural strength of your skeletal system, and your life-force energy is flowing, walking feels easy and brings you more joy.
Mind-body alignment is an essential ingredient to any successful fitness program. In ChiWalking, we call this mind-body skill Body Sensing. We teach you how to “listen” to your body, and use that information to direct your body to make positive changes in its movement. This communication link between your mind and body will keep you informed and improve your ability to solve for any discomforts that crop up when you’re walking.
With good ChiWalking technique and open communication between your body and mind, you’ll be able to adjust your body-mechanics to prevent and avoid injuries. With aches, pains and injuries becoming a thing of the past, you’ll experience the freedom and consistency you crave. That consistency will enable you to reach those fitness goals while feeling good every step of the way.
