I wanted to reach out to Danny to let him know that I had read his books, was a gold member with the online classes and attended a training class in NYC back in April 2018. I had intended on running the marathon the following November (2018) but a scheduling conflict gave me an excuse to push it off – probably was not mentally ready anyway.
The reason I wanted to reach out to you is that this year I am running in the NYC Marathon and could not have even contemplated it without learning Chi Running. Chi Running seems to good to be true when you hear or read about it, and I was skeptical at first, but it has changed my life for ever. My runs had never really been more than 3-5 miles at a time and I was in pain and exhausted after each run. Now I can physically breeze through 7-10 miles with less than a moderate effort. Half marathons are like 5ks were before learning to Chi Run.
I had a history of shin splints, knees hurting, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis in one of my feet. Now I no longer experience any pain. When you have learned the proper form in Chi Running you can feel it – the run becomes so effortless. I explain the technique and the wonder of Chi Running to friends and associates of mine and they all tell me that I am very passionate about this – maybe cult like – but like I said it seemed too good to be true – and I have experienced very few that were actually this good.
