THE PERFECT COMBINATION – ChiWalking & ChiRunning:
-
We naturally walk more than we run each day.
-
Our bodies adapt to the way we move, so it makes sense to address our walking patterns, especially since, if we’re honest, we walk more than we run. By focusing on posture, walking, running, and the transitions between them, you’ll be well-prepared to elevate your skills. Imagine leaving the clinic knowing that you’re improving your running form all throughout the day!
-
Walk/run intervals are a proven strategy when returning from an injury and help keep you safe as your body re-adapts to proper movement.
-
Walk/run intervals help you re-adapt to proper movement patterns while minimizing the risk of re-injury. By gradually reintroducing running with walking breaks, you give your body the necessary time to recover and strengthen, promoting long-term health and fitness.
-
Walk/Run programs help build a solid base for long distance running.
-
No training plan meets the needs of every individual, yet is considered an important part of training for events. The standard 10% rule for increasing mileage is just a guideline, and not all bodies respond well to it. Walk/run intervals are a strategic tool to help you increase your training distances while reducing the risk of overtraining. It’s a win-win situation!
