This 3-hour class is subsidized by a special grant through Marin Community Education and is offered at a one-time special rate of $42. Register direct with Marin Community Ed or by calling 415-485-9305 by February 1 to take advantage of this special opportunity and secure a place in the class. Space is limited.

Class format includes discussion, demonstration and walking practice. The class is appropriate for beginners and experienced walkers. The class will be held both indoors and outdoors.

You will be guided through many exercises and drills designed to leave you with a clear sense of what the ChiWalking technique feels like in your body. You will learn how to move from your center and use your core muscles to create whole body walking–reducing the stress and strain on your hips, back, legs, knees and feet. Discover how sound biomechanics, improved posture and using your core helps you move with less effort and in a way that is good for your whole body.

COVID19 Protocol: The instructor and participants will be required to follow the current recommendations in place at the College of Marin on the dates of in-person sessions.

The workshop begins in the Physical Education Building, Room PE 22. If you are not familiar with the College of Marin campus send an email to Hazel Wood ,the instructor, at hazel@stridebystride.com for a map and directions. We will be both indoors and either in a covered outdoor space or on the track so dress in layers.

Cancel 14 days before the workshop and you will be refunded your registration payment minus a $35 processing fee, or you can use the registration payment for a future workshop with ChiLiving, Inc. within one year with no penalty.

If you cancel within 14 days of the workshop, you will not receive a refund, but the fee can be credited towards a future workshop purchased with Chi Living, Inc. within one year. If you cancel within two days of the workshop you forfeit your full payment.

The Instructor reserves the right to cancel/reschedule the workshop, in which case you will receive a full refund.
