I’m sure you’ve heard it before, but I bet you never get tired hearing it…ChiRunning changed my life!
Having never been very athletic, I decided to take up running at age 38. I have never been overweight and was relatively fit. But I was not in the best aerobic shape; I couldn’t run for more than 2-3 minutes before feeling winded and tired. And then I started getting minor injuries which would set me back weeks only.
After about a year of on-and-off injuries I happened to need a chiropractor after pulling a muscle gardening. Once we worked through that problem, I mentioned my struggles with running and injuries. He turned me on to ChiRunning.
To keep my story as brief as possible, let me tell you that it’s only been about 6 months since I first read the book. I bought it for myself on my 40th birthday. Today, I ran on a treadmill for 1.75 miles without stopping, rode 1 mile on a stationary bike for 1 mile, then did another 1.25 mile run on the treadmill. I don’t feel exhausted or sore. I’m just so tickled with my accomplishment.
