Dear Danny and Katherine,
I am writing to let you know about my running experience before we meet at the Kripalu ChiRunning workshop coming up in 10 days.
I am an internal medicine doctor at the University of Massachusetts. I am originally from Venezuela, and I started running a little over 10 years ago when I was 26 and I moved to Boston to start my training.
Since then, I have been increasing my running progressively thru the years from 5K, 10K, until 3 years ago when I did my first half marathon! Unfortunately, I developed knee injuries that ended up requiring an MRI and even a steroid injection, with rest and time away from one of my favorite hobbies and therapies, running!
18 months ago, I ran my second half marathon! But again with injuries!
Early in 2014, I was accepted to run my first marathon! The 2014 Boston Marathon! Thru a charity, I was able to raise over $6500 for my hospital and also finish my first marathon, but most importantly, injury free! All thanks to ChiRunning!
Now in preparation for the workshop I am reading the ChiWalking book and look forward to learning more from you.
I wanted to thank you so, so much!
